QBE Group Shared Services Centre (GSSC), a division of
Australian QBE Insurance Group, said it will grow its
Cebu workforce to 1,000 employees this year to support its global operations.
QBE Insurance Group currently 600 employees in its Cebu office, which originally started to operate last year.
QBE GSSC formally launched its Cebu operations at the Skyrise Alpha building at the Cebu Business Park. QBE GSSC in the Philippines provides services to
QBE Insurance clients all around the world. These services range from claims processing and
collections, to the more complex analytics and knowledge services. Its
QBE’s strategy of diversification by product and geographical exposure is fundamental to managing the
insurance and reinsurance risks.
Meanwhile,
QBE Insurance officials have expressed an interest in growing its
insurance business in the Philippines, particularly in Cebu, with the opening of the
QBE Seaboard Insurance Philippines Inc., which provides
motor and personal accident products.
QBE Seaboard also supplies property and engineering, marine and aviation, general liability, and professional liability products to both multinational and local corporations in the Philippines.
